A guide to developing and contributing towards the SharpZebra library

Introduction

Our intent is to make it as easy for people to contribute to the SharpZebra project.

Pre-Requisites

In order to get to something that works, we expect the minimum of:
  • Visual Studio 2010

Building the code

Note

The following information isn't current. Hopefully subversion will be updated shortly, but it no longer contains the latest version of the code. Simply download the code and submit a patch (downloads/patches) if you would like to contribute.

  1. Check-out the code using subversion in a directory (such as C:\dotnet\sharpzebra). Use the instructions found here.
  2. Open a command prompt and navigate to the directory such that it looks like this (assuming you used C:\dotnet\sharpzebra as your directory): here
  3. Enter nant.bat
  4. You can tell if you're building successfully since you will see results such as the one shown in the screen here

Starting the project in Visual Studio

  1. Check-out the code using subversion in a directory (such as C:\dotnet\sharpzebra). Use the instructions found here.
  2. Double-click the ZebraPrinting.sln file found in the directory.
